Privacy Policy

Last updated: 01/09/2026

This policy explains what happens to your personal data if you use the contact form on this website or email us directly.

Who we are

This website is operated by AR WEBSITE SOLUTIONS LTD, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 17428939, whose registered office is at 66 Paul Street, London, England, United Kingdom, EC2A 4NA. We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy, which means we are responsible for deciding how and why it is used.

What we collect

When you submit the contact form, we collect whatever you enter into it: your name, email address, phone number, project type, and message. We don't collect anything else automatically. This site runs no analytics and no tracking scripts.

Cookies and local storage

There are no advertising or analytics cookies on this site. Two things do use browser storage:

Your cookie choice. When you pick an option in the cookie banner, that choice is saved in your browser's local storage under ar-cookie-consent. It never leaves your device and is never sent to us. Clearing your browser data removes it and the banner appears again. You can change your choice at any time using the "Cookie settings" link in the footer of the home page.

Spam protection. The contact form uses Google reCAPTCHA, provided through Netlify, which sets its own cookies to tell real visitors apart from bots. These only load on the page containing the form, and they are part of the essential category because the form cannot be submitted without them. Google's use of that data is covered by the Google Privacy Policy.

The Analytics and Marketing categories in the banner are there so the choice is recorded properly if either is ever added. Nothing in those categories runs on the site today, and nothing in them will load unless you have allowed it.

How it's processed

The contact form is handled by Netlify Forms, a service provided by Netlify, Inc. When you submit the form, your details are sent to and stored by Netlify, then forwarded to us by email. Netlify also runs automated spam filtering (including a reCAPTCHA check) on submissions before they reach us. You can read Netlify's own privacy policy for details on how they handle this data.

Why we use it

We use the information you submit solely to respond to your enquiry and, if we go ahead with a project, to communicate with you about it. We don't use it for marketing, and we don't sell or share it with any third party beyond Netlify's processing of the form submission itself.

Lawful basis

[Insert the lawful basis you rely on under UK GDPR Article 6 for handling enquiries, e.g. consent (the visitor ticks the box on the form), taking steps at their request before entering into a contract, or your legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries. This is a legal determination, so confirm it with a qualified advisor rather than guessing.]

How long it's kept

[Insert your actual retention practice, e.g. "Enquiry details are kept for as long as needed to respond, and deleted after [X months] if no project goes ahead. For active or completed client projects, records are kept for [X years] for accounting and support purposes."]

Your rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to ask what personal data we hold about you, request a copy of it, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, and object to how it's used. To exercise any of these, just get in touch using the details below.

If you are not happy with how we have handled your data, you also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office, the UK supervisory authority for data protection, at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.

Contact

Questions about this policy, or a request relating to your data, can be sent to aaron.reilly@arwebsitesolutions.com, or by post to AR WEBSITE SOLUTIONS LTD, 66 Paul Street, London, England, United Kingdom, EC2A 4NA.

This is a general-purpose template, not legal advice. It's written to accurately describe what this specific site currently does (Netlify Forms, reCAPTCHA spam protection, no analytics). Fill in the lawful basis and retention period above, and have it checked by a professional before relying on it.
